# Which office issues your licence

After the administrative reform, company files and household business files no longer go to the same place. Pick your procedure to see which office takes it.

## Company formation, amendment or dissolution

- Where the file goes now: Sở Tài chính tỉnh Gia Lai — Phòng Doanh nghiệp và Kinh tế tập thể
- Where it no longer goes: The former Sở Kế hoạch và Đầu tư is no longer competent: enterprise registration moved to the Department of Finance. A file sent to the old address will not be accepted.
- District level: The district tier ended on 1 July 2025 under clause 3 of article 51 of Luật Tổ chức chính quyền địa phương 72/2025/QH15 (the Law on Local Government). District finance and planning offices no longer take files.

## Household business registration

- Where the file goes now: The business registration office of the commune or ward where the household business is based. Not the Department of Finance.
- District level: Before 1 July 2025 the file went to the district finance and planning office. That tier was abolished; communes and wards handle it now.
- Your commune or ward: The province now has 135 commune-level units under Resolution 1664/NQ-UBTVQH15 of 16 June 2025. We do not publish a conversion table from old names to new ones, because we could not check one against the official list: call us and we will look yours up, free.

## Branch, representative office, business location

- Where the file goes now: Sở Tài chính tỉnh Gia Lai — Phòng Doanh nghiệp và Kinh tế tập thể
- The address on an older licence: If your licence still shows the former tỉnh Bình Định or an abolished district, the address must be updated before or together with this filing.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does the former planning department still issue licences?**
No. Enterprise registration moved to Sở Tài chính tỉnh Gia Lai, Phòng Doanh nghiệp và Kinh tế tập thể, after the former Sở Kế hoạch và Đầu tư was merged in.

**What is my new commune or ward called?**
We do not publish a conversion table, because we could not check one against the official list and a wrong table gets files rejected. Call us and we will look it up, free.
